by Two Women Playing Twelve Instruments
ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ - Simple Gifts, an evening of folk music by two women playing twelve instruments, will be in concert on Friday, June 7, at the Atlantic Highlands Elementary School (AHES) at 7:00pm. Following the concert will be a jam session. The concert, cosponsored by the AHES PTO and the Atlantic Highlands Arts Council, will be assisting the sixth grade class in their fund raising efforts for their promotion at the end of the year with their bake sale and a ticket selling contest.
Simple Gifts will share their music with the students earlier in the day at a school assembly. They performed at the school five years ago and the students had a great time learning to play spoons. The children will have an opportunity to interact with the two musicians, Linda Littleton and Karen Hirshon.
