Holmdel, NJ – Thanks to the generous support of Bill and Debbie Rustico and Oma Hodges from Highlands, NJ, the Lt. Dennis W. Zilinski, II Memorial Fund was instrumental in providing a specially trained service dog named Bailey to wounded warrior Jose to help him move forward with his life after suffering a traumatic brain injury.
Bailey was trained at K9s for Warriors for 6 months and spent 3 weeks at the school living with his new partner Jose. They took their last test prior to graduation, and Bailey was officially certified under the American Disabilities Act.

LITTLE SILVER, NJ - “This is a great time to be a Buc” nearly 300 new ninth graders were told at the Red Bank Regional (RBR) Freshman Orientation held on Wednesday, August 26. For several hours, the students were shepherded around their new and much larger school by RBR Student to Student Peer leaders as the newbies acquired student Ids, set-up computer student accounts, learned how to open lockers and ran through their daily schedules. They also received the “inside scoop” from the upper classman in peer on peer meetings to answer all freshmen questions.

ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ - Christopher Federico, 18, son of Eric and Fiona Layton of Middletown, NJ has achieved Boy Scouting's highest rank: Eagle Scout. Less than 4 percent of all Boy Scouts attain this honor.
Chris is a member of Boy Scout Troop 22 in Atlantic Highlands, one of the first Boy Scout troops established in the United States who celebrated their 100 year anniversary in 2011. Troop 22 is sponsored by the United Methodist Church in Atlantic Highlands, under the leadership of Scoutmaster Allen Resch.
