I am glad the Donoghue Administration has broken with their practice of hiring people at the very top of the salary guide.

The salary guide for the CFO position is $45,000 to $81,000 per year.

Allan,

I mean, is this what she is making in Rutherford?

I don't know what her salary was at Rutherford.  I have placed a call to Rutherford Adiministrator Timothy Stafford.

I was not at the council meeting last night but I am told that there was little information provided about the new CFO.

I understand that Councilman Fligor, a member of the personnel committe was kept in the dark as to which municipality she worded for prior to here. (I later learned it was Rutherford after a google search.)

The only people that knew any details were Councilmembers Ladiana and Nolan and Mayor Donoghue.

That is not what I call open and honest when you refuse to answer councilmembers questions - let alone questions from the public.

Allan,

Joe Hawley just called me and told me he spoke to the municipal clerk, in Ruhterford, Hudson County and apparently they aren't to happy.

Joe believes she was hired in February at a Salary of $77,000.00 plus travel milage.  He plans to go to the next council meeting in Rutherford and ask why she is leaving and why this is so secretive.

Joe says anyone with any questions should feel free to call the Rutherford Borough clerk at:

Joe got further then I did.  Well done, Joe.

I have placed three calls to the borough administrator Timothy Stafford but he has not yet returned the calls.

I also called and emailed the finance chairwoman, Rutherford councilwoman Maura Keyes, and left a message for her to call me.

I find this very amusing and somewhat highschoolish....chasing people down, knicking on windows, running to "da chief", arguing in the street like, calling up employers ( aka: parents)...i guess this is homeroom  haha.

Was any of this caught on security video, b/c I would love to see it.

Jedi Mary, maybe she saw your light saber and was scared...thats why she ran to da chief     Grin

Kerry,

Because this is not the private sector, we have the right to know where this person is from.  She is being paid with public money.   There is only so much information that can be legally withheld from the public

The interest is in knowing why the CFO would leave her short (three month) employment at Rutherford.

Might it not also have been kept quiet because she did not want to lose her job with Rutherford before she was offered the job here?

Is AH closer to her home than Rutherford? It could all be as simple as commuter time.

On a partisan note, you all don't seem to raise a stink when the current Federal administration makes choices that they don't share with us.

Equal outrage under the law!

As you point out...it could be as simple as all that....but we don't know - the secrecy prohibits the full council from doing its job for OUR community, and oddly enough, the secrecy continued even after she was hired.
