TINTON FALLS, NJ — Ranney Middle School Science Olympians had a terrific showing in the
state Science Olympiad Competition at Middlesex County College on Sunday, March
11, taking home a total of ten medals, including one first place medal in
Ecology.
The Ranney teams faced down teams from 23
New Jersey middle schools to place eighth overall in the rigorous academic
interscholastic competition. In addition to the first place medal, Ranney
students also took home one fifth place, one fourth place, six third places, and
one second place medal. The Ranney School team was led by Middle School Science
teachers Betty Williams and Christina Ryan. The list of winners
