I want to congratulate Joe Amiel for opening another great restaurant, the Bay Point Inn located in Highlands NJ at the Sandy Hook Bay Marina. Joe is one of the restaurateurs that I hold in high esteem within my industry. Last night I was invited to his soft opening and he was on point with everything you could want in a dining environment.
The facility, all windows facing the Sandy Hook Bay and facing Manhattan, is beautiful on all fronts. The well designed menu gives you great new seafood and more options. Our table of five ordered oysters, shrimp and coconut shrimp, steaks, lobster, halibut, beet salad, wedge salad, key lime pie etc. It was all excellent and abundant. A big hit at the table were hot pop overs. Debbie, originally from NY state and doesn't eat much bread, fell in love with them ate two as did the rest of the table.
So, my dear Joe, congratulations on The Bay Point Inn, great job. I sometimes forget how good a restaurateur Joe is…he reminded me last night just how just how good. With my boat being in that marina I found a new home when I am not at Danny’s
