For almost the past year, members, staff, and leadership at Central Baptist Church have seriously considered ways in which we can improve our church. We have read, studied, discussed, and prayed about parking and preaching, music and maintenance, and all things in between. We are now in the beginning of implementing some of these decisions, and we invite you to join us as we strive towards excellence in all that we do.
The changes we are making derive from our desire and calling to do everything excellently for the glory of God. While excellence can be subjective, there also can be common understanding of how it looks. Thus, we have made a commitment to make Central Baptist Church and our activities excellent, for members, guests, and the community at large.
The core factor is that everything flows from the Worship Service. The Worship Service should be so excellently done that members of the church enthusiastically invite their friends and neighbors to come and participate with us. Once our neighbors and friends experience what we are doing at Central Baptist Church, our prayer is that they will stay and invite their friends and neighbors.
One of our largest changes is a fixed year round worship service time. Starting the first Sunday in July, (July 6) and continuing for the entirety of the year, we will have our Worship Service at 10:00 AM on Sunday followed by a time of fellowship around coffee and pastries at 11:15 AM. During the Worship Service, we offer nursery for children under the age of 5, and a Junior Church program for children ages 5-10. From 11:30 AM to 12:15 PM, we will have Bible Study classes for all ages.
You are welcome to come to our services and events, whether you are returning to church or have never been inside a church in your life. In every community there are hundreds and even thousands who have never been in any church. We would love to see each and every one of you at Central Baptist Church.
So this is our invitation from us to you. Come and see what we are doing! You may like what we doing, and stay in the same way as the first disciples came to see what Jesus was doing and they stayed with Him.
