We are commanded to pray for the welfare of the city.  We are commanded to pray without ceasing.

We are going through some major crises in our country.  The issues that we are facing are major issues with major consequences for the present and the future.  Sometimes the issues that we are facing are so conflicting that people on both sides can argue that they have it right and while they may have portions right, they also may have parts of it completely wrong.

On the first Wednesday of each month Central Baptist Church has put into place a time when we come together for lunch, conversation and prayers for our business community.  Our first meeting was in February.  It was just me and the Mayor Rast.  For the meeting in March Mr. Bob Brooks came and brought a book by Timothy Keller entitled Every Good Endeavor – Connecting Your Work to God’s Work.  We talked and prayed for ourselves and our business community.

We plan to meet for the entire year on the first Wednesday of the month.  We hope that you will come so that we can talk and pray for our businesses.  If we are not able to come and you want us to pray for you and your business send us your prayer request via email This email address is being protected from spambots.
