Sometimes you just know a movie is going to be a classic, brilliant film (not a movie). I saw a short preview for "Low Down" about a week ago and knew instantly I was going to love it.

The iconic Robert Duval is totally captivating and riveting as a quiet, pensive hermit who is the subject of generations of false rumors among the townsfolk. Set I would guess in the 30's in the midwest,  this beautifully filmed epic with a perfect musical score is simply a home run. It is a story of his story and share his secret which has been haunting him for 40 years.

It will do lousy in the box office this summer but will spark again next January when it nominated for several Golden Globes and Oscars. Duval, Sissy Spacek and maybe even Bill Murray will get nominated (as will this film).

This is a "film" kiddos that is a must see.
