I have really wanted to see "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close" as to anything relating to 9/11, I really want to experience. (The most impacful day in the last 50 years).
Doesn't hurt having Tom Hanks in the film, but one knew from the previews that he would have a unique role.
Well I'm not going to tell you anything about the story/movie itself. I wish to speak more generally. Simply, I think it may be the most perfect movie I recall seeing. Every sound, every gesture, every emotion, every nuance, every cast member, every word, every piece of music, every setting etc. etc. was technically perfect.
It was utterly the most outstanding and unforgettable movie I think I've seen since "Life is Beautiful".
How the heck could they have created such an unique and fascinating character in the son Oskar. What words, what thoughts, what feelings - wow!!
With a perfect script, you have a perfect cast Tom Horn, Tom Hanks, Sandra Bullock (incredibly acted at the right level), John Goodman, Max von Sydow & more.
Please go - it may well be the best movie I've ever seen.
