Deer Resistant Perennials with Bernard, a Rutgers Master Gardener at Middletown Township Public Library

Join us at Middletown Township Public Library where Bernard Dickman of the Rutgers Master Gardeners of Monmouth County will give a talk on Deer Resistant Perennials.  While no flower is truly deer proof, there are a number of flowers that grow every year and that deer avoid.  What could be better?  Mr. Dickman will discuss a number of perennials that have grown for a number of years without injury by deer, rabbits, or woodchucks in his Middletown garden.  Questions will be welcomed.

Bernard Dickman has been gardening for more than sixty years.  He was selected as Master Gardener of the Year for 2000 and is a lifetime Master Gardener. He has an extensive rose garden and lots of experience wildlife-proofing his garden.  Other gardening passions are vegetables and perennials.  As a member of the Speakers Bureau, he gives talks on perennials, roses, wildlife in the garden, great gardening shortcuts and various other horticultural topics.

In the community room on Tuesday, August 15th  at 7:00 PM.

Location  Middletown Public Library, Community Room 55 New Monmouth Road, Middletown, NJ
