  • Strauss House Museum
    Sundays, 1-4 p.m.
    The Strauss House is open Sundays from 1pm-4pm all year and presents beautiful exhibits.

  • Monthly Lunch Talk
    2nd Wednesdays 12:10-12:50
    Members of the Business Community and Professionals talk about applying Godly principles in their working place. Central Baptist Church, Third and East Highland Avenues every second Wednesday of the month from 12:10 - 12:50 P.M.  Bring your lunch - we provide the program!
  • Children's Gym Time
    Fridays, 6:30 - 9:30
    Join us on Friday nights at the AHES Gym starting this Friday, January 7,
    2000. Come and bring your friends to enjoy basketball, volleyball and indoor soccer. 6:30 - 7:30 P.M. Grades 3 & 4;  7:30 - 8:30 P.M. Grades 5 & 6; 8:30 - 9:30 P.M. Grades 7 & 8. Sponsored by Central Baptist Church, Third & East Highland, Atlantic Highlands (If school is closed or is sponsoring a program of its own, we cannot have the gym).
  • Henry Hudson Regional Mentors:
    Mentors needed for grades 7 through 12. Henry Hudson Regional School. Do you have one hour per week that you might share with a student? Training provided. The "job" with a built-in reward. If you are interested please phone Dr. Elizabeth Smith at 291-3205. 
  • Senior Citizens of Atlantic Highlands
    Wednesdays

    Senior Citizens of Atlantic Highlands meets at 1:00 p.m. on the second Monday of each month in the Senior Citizen building located at the municipal marina.  Every Wednesday is a Social Day, when seniors come to do  crafts, play cards, and socialize. Other activities include bus trips for luncheons and shows.
  • Atlantic Highlands Leo's Club
    Meets the
    second Wednesday of the month at the senior citizen building in the Atlantic Highlands Harbor from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.  Anyone ages 13-18 can join. We welcome anyone who is interested in helping out our community.  Our club currently has 12 active members and we hope to increase our membership so we can take on larger projects.  If there are any questions please contact Jacqui Hillmann 732-291-8699.

Atlantic Highlands Leos Club
The Leos, the youth group associated with the Atlantic Highlands Lions Club, are very active in the community. The group of youngsters, 12 and up, visits Portland Poynt Senior Housing almost weekly during the holiday season. and participates in other activities throughout the year.

Sandy Hook Bay Catamaran Club 

Located in Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey, on the Sandy Hook Bay, just a short 18 mile sail from the Statue of Liberty, the club is home to over 120 beach catamarans. Members enjoy a season full of activities ranging from an active racing schedule to leisurely barbecues on an uninhabited island.

 

 

Atlantic Highlands Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary
Meets 2nd Tuesdays
Come one, come all - Join the Auxiliary.  We meet the second Tuesday of every month at the Emergency Services Building behind Borough Hall.  Our job is to HELP the volunteer fire fighters of the borough of Atlantic Highlands.  We serve coffee and etc. at the fires, we also have fundraisers to help support the fire department to purchase equipment that they need but do not want to ask the taxpayers of Atlantic Highlands to pay for. 

We really need your support, please join us and help us support your fire department.

Organizations

Atlantic Highlands Historical Society

Society meetings are held 7:30pm on the third Wednesday of the month at the Senior Citizen Building in the Municipal Harbor from March to June. Meetings then move to the Museum. Every meeting includes a guest speaker and refreshments and is open to the general public as well as the membership. The "Strauss House" which is what everyone calls the Museum is open to the public  every Sunday from 1pm-4pm free of charge. 


American Legion Monthly meeting, the second Tuesday of each month at the Senior Citizen building in the Harbor.

 Time 8:00 pm. New members welcome - refreshments served.

Atlantic Highlands / Highlands Tigers

The Atlantic Highlands / Highlands Tigers Football and Cheerleading programs are open to all residents, age 7 to 14 of the Atlantic Highlands and Highlands School District.

A non-profit, all volunteer community organization dedicated to the idea of providing boys and girls an opportunity to play football and lead cheers, and have fun while doing so.

Senior Citizens Building at the Marina


Every Wednesday, Seniors visit the Senior Citizens Building at the Marina to do crafts, play cards, and socialize. Other activities include bus trips for luncheons and shows.

Senior Citizens of Atlantic Highlands meets at 1:00 p.m. on the second Monday of each month in the Senior Citizen building at the Municipal Marina.  (Bldg. pictured below - behind and to the right of the sign)

DIRECTIONS to the Atlantic Highlands Marina:
From North, South or West-
Take Garden State Parkway (local or express)
to Exit 117 (NOT 117A). Stay to the left.
Exit tollbooth. Road forks. Hwy #36 is
to the left (Shore Points). Take Hwy
#36 for ten miles to Atlantic Highlands.
(Shrewsbury Bank on right in Foodtown
Shopping center/Shell Station on left).
Go through light and take jughandle to cross Highway #36
and you will travel north on First Ave to the Marina .

From Ocean Ave-
Ocean Ave (Hwy #36 north).
Go over Highlands Bridge.
Continue for 7 lights. At First Ave
(Shell Station on right/Shrewsbury Bank on left)
make a right and continue down First Avenue to the Marina.
